Le temps d'un weekend, d'un pont en mai ou pour un séjour un peu plus long, La Grande Bretagne peut être attirante a plus d'un titre. Passez Londres et posez votre sac à Brighton, la station balnéaire so chic de la proche mégapole londonienne.


Brighton a une myriade de quartiers à explorer.


Les Old Lanes sont imprégnées d’histoires de contrebandiers et de fantômes. Avec ses boutiques d’antiquités et de bijoux réputées, c’est l’endroit parfait où se bâtit un héritage !
North Laine est le quartier bohème de Brighton.
Ici les boutiques proposent de tout, du kitsch des années 60s aux fringues gothiques. Installez-vous à n’importe quel café du coin et regardez passez les gens. Vous verrez forcément quelque chose (ou quelqu’un) de proprement outrageux.
Kemptown est un paradis pour les B&Bs, les restaurants et la communauté gay. Si vous prévoyez d’épurer les clubs, vous finirez forcément par fouler le pavé de ce quartier.

N’oublions pas la plage de galets et le pier (la jetée). Car si l’eau est froide, vous serez à coup sûr réchauffé par l’accueil qui vous attend à Brighton.

Vibrante ville de front de mer, branchée, divertissante et stylée. Brighton & Hove a tout ce dont vous rêvez : un palais royal, une architecture Régence élégante, des musées, une ambiance de plage relax, et des boutiques fabuleuses. Tout ça à 49 minutes du centre de Londres


Le Pavillon Royal est absolument incontournable. Demeure du roi George IV, c’est sans doute le palais le plus extravagant d’Europe. Flânez sur la jetée victorienne (le “Pier”) et sur le front de mer, où se bousculent bars et cafés branchés aux côtés des boutiques de surf, de sculptures géantes, de musiciens ambulants, de stands de poisson frais et de studios d’artistes ! Pour votre shopping, direction le quartier des Lanes côté chic ou de North Laine côté bohème. Tous deux excellents pour les antiquités et les vêtements de designers.  


Brighton c’est aussi : des musées et galeries d’art à gogo, des événements toute l’année (du rallye au carnaval), et le plus grand festival des arts d’Angleterre (en mai). Pour vos soirées, faites vos choix entre théâtre, musique, danse, comédie, pubs animés ou 400 restaurants. On trouve ici tous types d’hébergements : hôtels 5 étoiles du front de mer, lieux insolites (avec cour marocaine par exemple), maisons de villes au style minimaliste ou B&Bs traditionnels.
